Saddlebred show barn? Her timid, soft, brown eyes tell me more than I want
to know.........The nightmare is over, yet she doesn't forget.
Dinah, a 20 year old Saddlebred, was one of 60 horses
rescued from deplorable and abusive conditions in August of 2003. The once
regal girl was now emaciated and emotionally fractured.......Could she ever
be healed enough to trust again?
It's been over a year since that day she was loaded up and
swept off to a safe place. Little evidence remains of the physical neglect.
She has regained her lovely figure and her coat shines like a new penny. She
greets me every morning with bright eyes and soft nickers.........and
Dinah's spirit is dancing once again.
