Shadow is a Greenville County Rescue. He came to us in the Fall of 2005. Full of affection and ready to mingle with the other horses. I don't have his "before" picture on the computer, but as soon as I can get it scanned in, I'll upload it. He was as skinny as Ghost, but had already regained his weight and then some, when he arrived at the farm. Shadow is growth stunted, due to lack of nutrition in his early years. The little guy (he is 6 years old now) follows me around like a Shadow, so I named him "Umbrae Tika", Shawnee for "Little colt, follows me like a Shadow". Shadow was at the bottom of the totem pole, when he arrived, but quickly worked his way up, by buddying up to the boss mare Iltchi. He fell in love with our senior girl Kachina, when he first set eyes on her, and the feeling was mutual. Although they have their own stalls, they like to hang out together in the same stall and share hay from the same feeder. They are inseparable. Where there is one, there is the other - and they are very protective of one another, too.
